Plate Tectonics

In this topic we will take a look at how the Theory of Plate Tectonics developed and provide concrete evidence that support the theory. We will place emphasis on the different types of volcanoes around the world and the potential hazards that they impose on mankind.

Continental Drift

Students will be able to cite Alfred Wegener's evidences that led him to his Theory of Continental Drift.

Crustal Activity

Students will be able to provide scientific evidences that allowed Continental Drift to evolve into the modern Theory of Plate Tectonics.

Crustal Boundaries

Students will be able to recognize the different manners in which plates interact and the associated geologic features that they created.
