We’ll kick off our Earth’s Systems unit by watching the documentary Chasing Ice and developing a driving question. We’ll also introduce key concepts that will spiral throughout the unit as we explore different Earth systems and the changes that can disrupt their balance.

This subtopic includes a single activity that provides background information and guiding questions to help students develop a claim, evidence, and reasoning based on the documentary Chasing Ice. The culminating task asks the class to create a driving question for the unit.
